What Makes Us Special
A Company Founded by Chemistry Educators
In 1995, a faculty group representing community colleges, liberal arts colleges, comprehensive universities, research universities, and a military academy worked on a project called “CCLI Initiative” – Computers in Chemistry Laboratory Instruction. This National Science Foundation project resulted in two spin-off organizations: CCLI, nonprofit educational resource organization and MicroLAB Inc, an incorporated R&D/manufacturing company.

Five Years Warranty for all microLAB Interfaces
Warranty repair involves returning the unit to the factory, repairing it, and approving it through the new-product test and calibration process. Warranty does not cover deliberate student damage to the unit.
Sensor warranty:
Because most sensors are susceptible to student damage, we warranty these for 30 days, but not for student breakage.

Software
A MicroLab software site license accompanies purchase of every MicroLab interface unit. This license permits the college to freely load MicroLab software on lab computers and on the campus network. Individual students may freely download software to use at home to prepare lab reports.
Each microLAB interface generation is designed for significantly higher electronic measurement performance than is supported by the software current when it is released. After release of the model, continual software development brings these new measurement capabilities into action.
New software releases occur about twice each year and are announced on our web site and e-newsletter. If bugs appear, corrections are posted immediately. Download is from our website and is free.
Training and Support:
Training:
We provide training through various video conferencing platforms.
When requested, we provide initial on-site faculty training workshops and assist with TA training. We ask that the institution pay travel and housing costs for the workshop leader.
Support:
We provide free telephone or e-mail support. The people handling technical support are experienced college chemistry faculty.
College-level, class-tested experiments can be downloaded from our website for faculty review and modification for use in their courses. These are available without charge.
TIP
You might consider having an extra MicroLab FS-528 per campus. If something fails, you can keep the lab station going while the unit is repaired. The same argument holds for computers. An extra lab station can also be used for faculty experiment development.
