Spectrophotometry: Quantitative Analysis with Light

Molecules interact with light to produce colored solids and liquids due to their molecular structure, due to this we can determine the concentration of a colored molecule by how well the solution absorbs light.  In this experiment, students will look at the absorption spectra of different solutions before moving on to quantifying the concentration of the solution.  Lastly, students will explore fluorescence.
